20 months old

Wow... how much has changed in just a month. You are becoming so much more independent and wanting to do everything yourself. You have gotten so good at repeating words as well. You are very interested in everything around you and wanting to know what it is. You will point at objects and say "that" so we will tell you what it is. You have a book of words and objects and you just love going through it. You will sit and point to the different pictures and you are so smart. It amazes us how much you recognize and remember.

I showed you a picture of a train and said "choo choo".. a few days later we saw the train picture again and you said "choo choo." It was so precious!

You have learned to say thank you. We are working with you on saying it at the right times.

We saw pumpkins each day at your school and at our house and then one morning at school you pointed at one and said "pumpin"

You have regressed some on your eating. Your therapists seem to think it might be behavioral now. You are learning more about what you like and dislike and are now showing it.

You have tantrums if things dont go your way. You are very persistent too and saying please and signing please can break my heart if we continue to say "No"

We are working on discpline and learning how important consistency is. It is so hard and we are reading a book with our bible study called "shepharding a childs heart"

You continue to be so loving and give the best hugs and kisses.

This is the 1st time that the clothes you are wearing are too big. You have grown taller so 24 months works for length but is too big in the waist. 2t shirts still work best for the length. If they only made a size 20 months.. it would be perfect!

You still love playing outside... throwing balls (especially tennis balls)... taking off your shoes... taking off your diaper if you are not wearing pants... so pants are a must :)... fruit snacks... yogurt milk...cheez it crackers....taking baths...brushing your teeth...
