Dr. Appt #3 this week

So we went to the Dr. for the 3rd time this week. I think they might have known us by first name this time :) It was a lot less crowded than earlier in the week and so it made for a much better appt. I had prayed that his ears would be clear and that we would not have to have a shot today. Our prayers were answered. Luke still cried and cried as the dr. had to look in his ears several times and had to dig out some wax but no shots!!! Yeah!! We go back a week from Monday for his 12 month check up so they will evaluate his ears again then. They said to keep the ENT appt and just go ahead and go in. That way we will be established with them and if we need to go back then we will already be in their system. I also like the peace of mind and the hearing tests will be good too. It is frightening what ear infections can do to a baby's hearing and speech development.

I was able to ask the dr. about Luke's texture issues with foods. She said she is not worried. He is still young and kids just do different things. She said to just keep trying different things on his high chair tray and be sure that we don't make a big deal about him eating it or not. She did say that the only thing they can control is what goes in their mouth and when they poop/pee so they learn early that they will take control of that :) She said there are specialists that work with these types of issues but not something to worry about right now. So for now... we will just continue trying new things and Bella and Mo will most likely continue to get snacks :) That is what happens to most of the finger foods... off the side of the high chair for Bella and Mo.
