Where did the summer go? It seemed to go by so quickly. With
the crazy traffic in Atlanta it is always nice once summer comes and school is
out because the traffic is remarkably so much lighter. Both of our families
planned summer beach trips so we had been looking forward to the summer since
the winter when we planned the trips. Jody’s family planned a trip for June and
my family planned a trip for late July. The boys truly love the sand, water,
pool, collecting shells, and playing with their cousins, aunts and uncles, and
grandparents. We had good weather during both trips and really enjoyed spending
time together. We also took several trips to my parents’ lake house where we
always have a great time. They had bought a play set for the boys and it had
been put together over Memorial weekend so that gave the boys something else to
play on while there. We took boat rides, played in the beach area, played
badminton, corn hole, swam, etc. Before we knew it, August had arrived and it
was time for school to start back and the traffic to get bad once again.
