Here are a few pics of the boys at the end of August. I really cant believe the summer is coming to an end. When dressing the boys in pants and long sleeves on Friday it hit me that summer is almost over. Getting the boys ready in the morning is going to be more complicated with long pants and long sleeves... No more crocs... :(.
Luke
Lukie Luke... Growing into a little boy- so handsome and so sensitive.
In Luke's class at school they have been learning a lot of new things. They have science and math sheets and it is neat to see the papers with comments on them. His teachers rave about how sweet he is and how he makes good decisions. Let's hope that continues as he grows more and more independent. He loves to get himself dressed, brush his teeth, get in and out of the car himself... Everything is about him doing it without our help. The potty training has really taken on a new life in the last month- he finally wants to go and will initiate going. The funny thing is when he says I just went.... When the last time he went was before bed the night before :) He will tell what pj's he wants to wear and he also wants to wear his pj's to school- he has not won that battle! The boys go to school 3 days a week and he will count down the days... I pick him up and he will say 2 more school days. He is still a very picky eater but he will surprise us and try something new on occasion. If it is something he likes he will be sure to make a happy plate! ( pb&j, grapes/apples, crackers) He has recently started playing games on the computer on disneyjr and nickjr. Crazy to see how he can move through the programs. He loves to have mommy put him to bed. He will tell Jody- not tonight.. Mommy put me to bed but tomorrow I go to school and you go to work and then put me to bed. He analyzes the situation... He will say after my nap I get another cookie, etc. He also says "ok" after telling you something.. He says "please get more..." when he wants something- hard to resist his sweet smiling face. At the lake he LOVED fishing... Please go fishing he would say constantly.. Pawpaw said he wanted a fishing buddy :) He would touch the fish ( please hold the fish) and grab the crickets out.
Jake... Our little jakiepoo. Or poo for short. How we love you and cannot imagine our world without you. You have so much personality and are such a cutie! That blonde hair continues to be blonder than ever. You are your brothers shadow.. Trying to imitate anything and everything he does ( good and bad). Milk is your favorite drink... Gotta have your milk immediately upon waking up.. That and cereal bars. Lunch seems to be the meal that you skip the most... Extra picky about what you eat. You still love any type of ball. Anywhere we see something round you yell out BALL! You also love to ride bikes- your brothers bike at that. Your vocabulary is growing every day and anything we tell you to say you can repeat. Animals, and family members you can recognize and name. You love to "Color" pen and paper are what you prefer... Make that pen on table, body, wall, and toys... We would prefer it be paper. You have become very attached to your blankies or "dogs" as Luke calls his so you now call yours the same.
